Tap right ⌘ and speak. Saydown turns what you say into sticky notes on your desktop — and when one is due, it comes and finds you.
Idea: redesign the landing page
Add timePrep the deck for Anna's meeting
4h 12m · 17:00Call the bank before it closes
Due now · 17:00One tap starts listening — from any app, any Space. Tap again when you're done.
Groceries, deadlines, half-ideas — in any language your Mac speaks.
Each thought becomes its own note — timed, if you said a time.
Notifications vanish the moment you swipe them. Saydown's notes don't — a due note floats above your windows and glows until you deal with it.
Add your own API key and Saydown rewrites rambling into notes.
so um, send the invoice by five today… oh, and coffee beans, we're out

Add timeOptional — with your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or DeepSeek key. Without one, notes keep your exact words.
Saydown runs entirely on your Mac. There is nothing to sign into and nothing running on our side.
Stored locally, never uploaded, synced, or shared. Delete the app and they're simply gone.
No analytics, no tracking, no crash reports, no telemetry. We can't see how you use Saydown — by design.
With your own API key, dictated text goes only to the provider you chose, under their terms. Remove the key and nothing leaves your Mac.
Saydown is in open beta. It's free while we shape it — your feedback decides what it becomes.
macOS warns once about apps it hasn't notarized yet. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway.
Bugs, wishes, confusion — write to hello@saydown.com. Every mail gets read and answered.
The beta is free. AI rewriting is optional and uses your own API key, so any AI cost is between you and your provider — Saydown itself charges nothing.
Yes. Speech recognition runs on your Mac and notes are parsed locally. Only the optional AI rewriting needs a connection.
Any language your Mac's speech recognition supports — you can change it in Settings. Notes keep the language you spoke.
Reminders notify you once, and the notification disappears. Saydown's notes live on your desktop; when one is due it floats above your windows and glows until you deal with it. It's a reminder that can't be swiped away.
Nothing. No account, no analytics, no telemetry. Notes stay on your Mac. See Privacy above.
