A notification is gone the moment you swipe it. A sticky note is still there.
| Apple Reminders | Saydown | |
|---|---|---|
| How it reminds you | A banner that disappears | A note that floats above every window and glows until handled |
| Capture | Typing, or Siri | One key, then speak — from inside any app |
| Always visible on your desktop | No | Yes |
| Cross-device sync | Yes — iPhone, iPad, watch | No — your Mac only, by design |
| Shared lists, GTD features | Yes | No — deliberately just notes |
| Data leaves your device | iCloud sync | Never |
Shared lists, phone sync, location triggers. Reminders does all of that; Saydown doesn't try. Many people run both.
You see the banner, think "in a minute", swipe. Gone. No list fixes that. The reminder has to be un-swipeable. Saydown's due notes come to the front and stay until you complete or snooze them.
